Nintendo Announces Wii U Release Dates

Nintendo has announced the release dates for the Wii U in Japan, North America, and Europe. Nintendo has also announced that there will be two versions of the Wii U, a white 8GB basic version and a black 32GB deluxe version. The basic 8GB version will include one Wii U GamePad, an AC adapter, HDMI cable, and a sensor bar.

In North America, the Wii U will launch on November 18, 2012 and will cost $299.99 for the white 8GB version and $349.99 for the black 32GB version.
In Europe, the Wii U will launch on November 30, 2012.
In Japan, the Wii U will launch on December 8, 2012 and will cost ¥26,250 for the white 8GB version and ¥31,500 for the black 32GB version.

Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut Announced

Bioware has announced 'Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut' as free* downloadable content available this summer. 'Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut' will offer extended cut scenes that provide additional information and deeper insight to the ending of Mass Effect 3. 'Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut' will be available for download on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC this summer.

*Offer expires April 12, 2014. Internet connection and Origin, Xbox Live, or PlayStation Network account required.

UPDATE: An EA representative has told Joystiq.com that they have no plans to ever pull the content down or charge for it and that the expiration date was only added because of EA's internal policy of adding expiration dates "on all 'no additional cost' content."
